28 weeks with baby #2

We have encountered the 28 week mark with our newest family member. Mom has been experiencing more nausea lately and discomfort, as second babies often bring, I think. The need for a maternity back brace has become evident to get through the work days and thankfully, I have a helpful husband who has been a big help around the house. Jack has no idea what/who is about to turn his world upside down :)

Merry Christmas, Indeed

Christmas 2015: Jack had so much fun opening his gifts and spending time with family. We are definitely blessed. We spent Christmas Eve with the Skoien side, Christmas day with the Scheppmann side, and the 26th celebrating Grandma Susie's 60th birthday!!

Trip to Fairmont

Jack and mom took a quick trip to Fairmont for the annual cooking baking day with all the Scheppmann girls. He had fun running around with his cousins and it was nice to see Grandma Susie's home mid-renovations. Good job Scheppmann boys on all of the hard work you're putting in to help her make the house a home :)

Checking out the snow at home before we left.

Santa Visit 2015

Jack did surprisingly well with his visit to see Santa and Mrs. Claus this year. He did not cry, but he did not smile either :)  He had fun running the halls at Saint John's and watching all the kids visit with Santa.

Happy Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving this year with the Skoien family and had a great time! Ate too much food, played games and cards, and enjoyed some quality family time. Jack enjoyed eating his first Thanksgiving dinner as last year was strictly milk :)

Love our cheesy little man and our growing family :)

Our new adventure

After lots of looking and consideration, we have decided to take the plunge and build a new home! We are so excited for this adventure and have really enjoyed the process so far. A few snapshots of the beginning process, and more to come! (As if we don't have enough going on with a toddler and new baby on the way! yikes!!)

Sioux Falls visit

While Alex and his uncles and cousins went deer hunting in the Marshall area, Dana and Jack took advantage of the travel direction and went a bit further to Sioux Falls to visit Sara and Lauren. The kiddos had fun playing and had to learn how to share (good prep for future siblings), while the mama's got a little girl time. The boys had plenty of hunting success as well.

Pitstop in Pipestone and Jack loved playing in the leaves.

So much fun watching these two interact :)

Baby Wieme #2

We hit the 20 week mark with Baby Wieme #2 on November 1st and had an ultrasound to see him/her. It was so fun to see the little one moving around in there and make sure that he/she is growing on schedule. Everything checked out perfectly. We are so blessed!! Gender to be revealed at birth :) It has been so fun for mom to feel him/her kick and squirm these last few weeks, but growing a human and chasing a toddler leaves me quite exhausted by the end of the week. Wouldn't trade it for the world, but an early bedtime is a must!

Halloween 2015

Jack was excited to dress up for Halloween and celebrate with Grandma & Grandpa Wieme and friends of mom and dad's. He was a scarecrow this year and indulged in a little candy :)

He sat pretty well for the face-painting...surprisingly

We love our little dude :)

Pumpkin Patch Fun

We had a fun day at the pumpkin patch, picking pumpkins, feeding chickens, and soaking up the sunshine before winter hits.

Apple Orchard & first E.R. visit

On Saturday, Jack had his first visit to the apple orchard and had a blast! He was even a good helper with all of the picking :) (See pictures below). Unfortunately, he took a turn for the worse in the afternoon and had difficulty breathing. We took him to Express Care who then sent us to the E.R. We spent a little over an hour at the E.R. with a chest x-ray and nebulizer treatment and ended up with a diagnosis of bronchiolitis which is viral (similar to RSV) and we just have to let it run it's course. Thankfully, he is doing much better and was up cruising around today. Scary weekend for us, but glad our little guy is doing well.
